Ramsay Angus & Mearns Tartan

Clan and family tartans are traditionally worn by members and supporters of that name, and district tartans by people with a connection to the place. Many designs are also worn simply for their appearance. Some designs have recorded restrictions or permission requirements, so check the tartan record or ask us before ordering if you are unsure.

A traditional kilt typically uses around 8 yards of cloth and a casual kilt around 4 yards, depending on your waist and the sett. If you order a kilt from us, the cloth is included, so there is no need to buy fabric separately.

Tartan fabric, and kilts or accessories made from non-stock tartan, usually ship within 15–20 days. Made-to-measure items start production once your measurements and details are complete. These are estimates, not guaranteed dates.

Standard US shipping is $25 when the merchandise subtotal after discounts is $500 or less, and free when that subtotal is above $500. Tax and shipping are excluded from the threshold. Charges for other destinations are shown at checkout. Import duties and taxes are separate unless included in your checkout total.

Standard, non-personalised items can be returned within 30 days of delivery. Fabric cut to your length and made-to-measure kilts are made to your specification, so change-of-mind returns are not normally available. Faulty or incorrect items are always covered.

Screens show colours differently, and our swatches show broad colour families. If an exact shade matters, ask us before ordering and we will help you check.
